Cosign that Dyno... IC at OTM/StreetsOfGOLD
First Streets of Gold blazing the trail of a unique gathering of Hip-Hop, Live Art, Merch,and Crafts in one festival for the masses! Then IC's Opening show at OTM! 300 + bodies in attendance?!! Special performance by Alexander Spit and HOPIE SPITSHARD!? r.jess acoustic duo touchin' hearts and killin' um softly? Big Up to the Dj's , Jeremy, Hopie, Alex, all MCS, IC, the fam, the children, and vtown for a wild debut into the east bay gallery scene! And mad thanx for Streets of Gold in SF and all the crews, artists, musicians, and merchants that gave me some more creativity. Can't for SOG2, BYOA and the future of IC! Thank you Jesus for this great day and thank you for allowing me the pleasure to be a part of my favorite crew......

My friend Sylvia Ji at White walls in SF..
Last Saturday I got to see my good buddy and famed Urban Illustrator Sylvia Ji at White Walls Gallery in San Francisco. Her work has been featured in Juxtapoz , Society of Illustrators, and many other venues. The show was awesome! Sylvia's work has become so amazing since we were at the Academy of Art University. I was so happy to see her since I've had a hard time being able to go to her previous shows in SF. I missed her so much! I'm so happy I got to view this show and the other works at the gallery along side her work. Enjoy the pics and check Sylvia out online.

a couple days later and im still wishing i was still on a road trip...random blogness...
-i can't even explain how fun and inspirational LA was. checking out all the dope art made me want to up my skill level. so expect alot of experimental pieces.
-i have so many ideas and projects i want to get started.
-new dreams...just to name a few:
an art tour. i have always LOVED to travel far and wide around california...n.america...around the GLOBE! and i think in the future, art will be the reason that dream comes true.
making my family, friends, and vallejo proud. not just for the fame, but to show that i am getting by with what my passion is. i want to be the one my dad searches on youtube for other than charice pepinko, journey, and happy slip.
-yea, i am now single from my longest relationship and as much as i miss having a girlfriend, i realized i shouldn't be thinking about relationships right now. i'm at a point where i should be focused on my goals. SO I DON'T WANT TO HEAR ANYMORE RUMORS or 'ooooOooOooo....' just because i made some interaction with the opposite sex. now don't get the wrong idea, im not shutting out any females in my life. im not saying any girl doesn't have a chance with me, it would be nice to meet someone and 'click'. i miss having someone to watch movies with and someone to talk to about the things that bug me in the world. but im not like, SEARCHING or HUNTING out there. heck, i don't even have 'game'. haha.
-i need to order some stickers
-i should be working on my book this summer
-damn im at starbucks or tapioca everyday, painting, drawing,...so yea, HIT ME UP! i have soooo much free time now...but sucks that everyone is still at work.

Collabo with the artist SMURF
how could i not pass up a collabo with the artist Smurf, with a piece that was already awesome to start off with. so we met at tapx and i got going...

Dyno, being the one of the most influential artist's in my career gave me the honor of collaborating with him and hanging out with his crew, Individual Collective. I met a fair number of his friends and was amazed at how much their love of art brings them together to these sessions. I plan on going more often and continue my art in the future so be ready to see a good number of pieces from me pretty soon in the coming summer.

Wisdom in Silver....
Hey IC! I found this awesome post from an artist whom I love and respect, the famous Stephen Silver character designer behind Kim Possible, Danny Phantom, Clerks animated and much more.
He always has some major insight on being a pro artist. He found this really cool page,

on line and shared it on his blog and I felt that it would be good to share to the IC since we're all still trying to get up in the Arts & Entertainment Industry. So Here it be in it's condensed form, please reflect on this I found it very encouraging:

"I find as artists, we tend to beat ourselves up quite a bit, and the reality is, it's a bunch of nonsence. I Find that if you can let go of comparing yourself to others, you will set your mind free, Relax more, create more and accept what it is you are currently doing as reality. The bottom line is "WHO CARES" Life is too short, so enjoy it.

So you want to be more creative, in art, in business, whatever. Here are some tips.

5. You are responsible for your own experience.
6. Everyone is born creative; everyone is given a box of crayons in kindergarten.
7. Keep your day job.
8. Companies that squelch creativity can no longer compete with companies that champion creativity.
9. Everybody has their own private Mount Everest they were put on this earth to climb.
10. The more talented somebody is, the less they need the props.
11. Don't try to stand out from the crowd; avoid crowds altogether.
12. If you accept the pain, it cannot hurt you.
13. Never compare your inside with somebody else's outside.
14. Dying young is overrated.
15. The most important thing a creative person can learn professionally is where to draw the red line that separates what you are willing to do, and what you are not.
16. The world is changing.
17. Merit can be bought. Passion can't.
18. Avoid the Watercooler Gang.
19. Sing in your own voice.
20. The choice of media is irrelevant.
21. Selling out is harder than it looks.
22. Nobody cares. Do it for yourself.
23. Worrying about "Commercial vs. Artistic" is a complete waste of time.
24. Don�t worry about finding inspiration. It comes eventually.
25. You have to find your own schtick.
26. Write from the heart.
27. The best way to get approval is not to need it.
28. Power is never given. Power is taken.
29. Whatever choice you make, The Devil gets his due eventually.
30. The hardest part of being creative is getting used to it.
31. Remain frugal.
32. Allow your work to age with you.
33. Being Poor Sucks.
34. Beware of turning hobbies into jobs.
35. Savor obscurity while it lasts.
